Fairfield Suisun Unified School District Elementary 17 Middle 5 High 3 Alternate 3 Adult 1 Solano Community College is a tradition in Solano County.  Established in 1945 as Vallejo Junior College, Solano was part of the Vallejo Unified School District until 1967 when the College became a countywide institution. The 192-acre campus, centrally located just off Interstate 80, was completed in 1971 and opened with 5,000 students. Since then, facilities, programs, staff and services have expanded to meet the growing needs of a growing county.

Twenty Three neighborhood and community parks, including Allan Witt Park which contains the Fairfield Sports Center and an outdoor swimming pool; Rockville Hills Park with 650 acres of open space for camping, cycling, fishing, hiking, and exploring; and the Linear Park, a unique recreation area for walkers, joggers, cyclists, and others, highlighted by a rose garden featuring 600 rose bushes.
